Social Media Advertising can be a powerful way to get your business in front of the right people. But it’s not always easy to know what you’re doing, or where to start. That’s why I created this Social Media Ads Checklist.

  1. Organic Followers:

Social media advertising starts with the following, so first, you must build an organic presence on social media channels to have people notice your content when they’re scrolling through their feed. This step is necessary but not a requirement for running ads.

  1. Target Audience:

Social media ads’ target audience is important because you’re paying for impressions, so it’s a waste to spend money showing your content to people who are not likely to be interested in what you have to say. Instead, work on building an organic following and targeting them with social media advertising later once they’ve already seen and shown interest in your account or posts.

  1. Irresistible Offer:

Once people start following you, make sure that every post includes an irresistible offer of value that draws attention. It can be anything from the latest blog article all the way up to products for sale! But whatever it is, make sure there is always something tempting available at any given moment for browsing followers – even if it’s just a social media ad for the latest article.

  1. Ad Copy:

The social media platform you use will also determine what kind of copy is appropriate, but in general keep your messaging concise and focused on one major benefit to tease people into clicking through. What can they expect from this social media ad that no other medium could match? Is there something exclusive related to this offer or post that sets it apart? Figure out how best to communicate that message succinctly with words! You only get so much space – don’t waste any of it!

Video:   Social Media videos are now an essential part of marketing yourself or promoting anything online because they stand out more than static images do due to their ability to bring movement to social media posts.

  1. Landing Page:  

 A landing page is a web page with content that leads to the conversion path for your social media ad when someone clicks on it in their social feed. We highly recommend creating one so you know exactly where people are going and what they’re expecting after they’ve clicked through from your social media campaign!
